Wedding Colors

Hello!

I've been playing around with different colors I'd like to have at my wedding. Here's an inspiration board I created based on golds, navy, blush, greys, and cream!

Lela Rose dress

I already have my dress, but it doesn't mean I can't drool over a different one. Like this Lela Rose beauty. It's not strapless (gasp!) and check out that sexy back.

Camilla and Marc dress

The length of this dress makes it a little more sexy, but I think the sheer neckline and the layers of the skirt still give it a flowy, elegant vibe. Perfect for the after party, or for an outdoor spring wedding.

Get it at Shopbop.

The letterpress

So here's the actual letterpress that Nick built, which I mentioned the other day. Again, building instructions can be found via Instructables.

Letterpress test

We went the daring route and decided to build a letterpress to make our invitations. We found detailed instructions here. Nick built it a month or so ago, but we haven't been able to actually try it out. Well, I designed a small plate, ordered from Logos Graphics in SF, and one day later, the plate arrived.

At the top is the film, which was needed to make the plate. Total cost was $30 with tax and shipping.

After a few tries, we got a good impression! Here are the results on a manila tag (which is what the plate is sized for), white cardstock, and a scallop circle card I got on sale at Paper Source.

Dress shots

My favorite wedding shots are of the wedding dress hanging. I think the dress looks great flowing and you can see the full length. it also reminds you of all the time spent shopping for the dress, multiple fittings, and the amount of money spent on it. so yeah, it deserves a nice picture.

Pretty in pink

I like how the icing is done on the cake, but more importantly i would love to have a slice!
